The Principality joins the international network of the Sohn Conference Foundation by organizing the first Sohn Monaco Conference, to be held on June 22, 2017 at 2.00 pm at the Monaco Yacht Club. The latter follows the mission and original model of the New York conference, which invites a panel of the most brilliant and talented hedge fund managers to each present an investment idea and share their vision of the financial markets. The funds collected at the end of this conference are donated to research against pediatric cancer.

The Sohn Conference Foundation honors the memory of Ira Sohn, a Wall Street professional who lost his fight against cancer at the age of 29. Since its establishment in New York in 1995, the Sohn Conference Foundation has raised $ 80 million by bringing together the international financial community for the fight against pediatric cancer and other diseases affecting children. The conference is now held annually in Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, San Francisco, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Toronto, now Monaco and soon Zurich.

CMB is named « Best Customer Service Private Bank in Monaco » for the second consecutive year and « Monaco Banking Ambassador » for the first time by the international magazine « The European » in its prestigious 2017 awards.

« The European » magazine in collaboration with the Thomson Reuters Group, analyse in their annual Global Banking & Finance Awards the performance of banks and financial institutions. The winners are nominated through an online voting system where capacity to innovate, knowhow and quality of service are major considerations.

The Sohn Conference Foundation announced the inaugural Sohn Monaco Conference, to be held on June 22, 2017 at the Monaco Yacht Club, further expanding the Sohn Investment Conference’s global network of conferences. The Conference will follow the model pioneered in New York City of convening top investors to share market insights while raising funds for Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace in support of Sohn’s signature cause of pediatric cancer research and care.

This mandatory certification system which came into force on May 2nd, 2014 aims at increasing the level of competence of the employees in Monegasque banks and asset management companies as well as the reputation of excellence of the place. This professional certification is intended for all employees of the Front Office, that is to say who are in contact with customers or markets as well as their direct managers. Since its creation, 225 professionals have been certified.

In his speech, Serge Telle stressed that " the excellence of the Monaco financial center is a priority. This excellence goes through three areas, on which AMAF directly intervenes: on one hand, the supervision, regulation and organization of the financial professions, guaranteeing know-how and legitimacy. On the other hand, a regular and targeted promotion of the Monaco place, in particular at the international level. Finally, and this is whatbrings us together today, competent professionals, who for many interlocutors are the real face of our financial center - and even of our Principality."
