CFM Indosuez Wealth Management has sold a fraction of its business in the Principality of Monaco, namely clients resident in African countries, to Compagnie Monégasque de Banque (CMB). This agreement is in line with CFM Indosuez Wealth Management’s proactive approach to limit client relations to residents of countries participating in AEOI (Automatic Exchange of Information). It is also in line with Indosuez Wealth Management group’s strategy to refocus its positions with clients in its key markets.

AEOI entered into force in Monaco on 1 January 2017.

CMB acquired parts of CFM Indosuez client portfolio, which will come into effect by February 4th 2017.

With this transaction, CMB welcomes eight highly skilled employees that will support and complement the bank’s international wealth management desk.

For the 11th time since 2005, the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque has renewed its partnership with the Grimaldi Forum, thus providing valuable support for the development of quality programming throughout the year.
This partnership agreement was officially signed by Jean Pastorelli, Chairman of the Grimaldi Forum, Etienne Franzi, Chairman of the CMB and Werner Peyer, Managing Director of the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque.

Second consecration in 2016 for the CMB which is awarded the prize of "Best Private Bank Customer Service in Monaco".

The Embassy of Monaco in Austria organized on 7 November 2016 in Vienna an event promoting the Principality entitled "The Principality of Monaco: A dynamic state, responsible and forward looking. "

A Monegasque delegation comprised of Mr Thierry Orsini, General Director of the Finance and Economy Department, Mr Cyril Gomez, General Director of the Equipment, Environment and Urban Development Department, Mr Guillaume Rose, Director of the Tourism and Convention Bureau and Mr Hervé Ordioni, President of the AMAF Committee for the Promotion of the Monaco Financial Center, presented the advantages of the Principality to a hundred guests from the political, economic, diplomatic and cultural fields in the Chamber of Commerce of Austria.

Participants were able to expose the foundations of the Monegasque economy, the attractions of its financial center, the new urbanization projects of the Principality among which the offshore extension draft and the many events in the cultural, Business tourism and conventions fields. A particular focus was made on the sustainable development policy that the Monaco Government has placed at the center of its actions. This promotion day ended with a dinner in the presence of Viennese personalities in the prestigious setting of the Sacher Hotel.

In 2007, a first specific vocational diploma in the Principality (BAC + 3 with alternating training) was established jointly by the Directorate of Labour, the Monegasque Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) and - in its original version -the Nice Banking Training Institute (IBF). As part of its educational content has been developed by professionals, it meets the challenges of Monaco's banking sector.

The magazines "Private Wealth Management" and "The Banker" in collaboration with the Financial Times Group have organized "The Global Private Banking Awards" for eight years.

Banking institutions of dozens of countries are screened by an international jury, composed of prestigious independent and renowned consulting agencies.

Growth strategy, increased profits, customer relationship management, adjustment of supply of services for high-end customers and responsiveness to changing investor needs are the main criteria used by the jury.

This year, the CMB has been designated as the Best Private Bank in Monaco.

The award was presented during the closing gala event in London on October 26.
