Monaco Banking Training in China

18-23 March 2013 at the University of CHENGDU –  “Economics, Accounting, Finance” department representing 7 000 students of the 100 000 enrolled at this establishment.

As part of the relations between the University of CHENGDU and the Institut Bancaire de Formation de Nice/Monaco  (IBF),  Mr. Xavier O’JEANSON de DAMOISEAU – former Director of BPCA Monaco (retired) and former Vice-President responsible for Banking Activities of the Monaco Association of Financial Activities (AMAF) -  gave thirty hours of banking training lectures – Masters course – allowing around thirty Chinese students to obtain the DEES (European Higher Education Degree) Banking diploma “Monaco Banking Centre Focus”.

Topics addressed:

  • Presentation of the Monaco Financial Centre –
  • Bank techniques
    • Compliance and money laundering control - Law  1362 -
    • Loans (short and long term, private individuals/businesses, overdrafts,  Lombard loans – mortgages etc.)

During his stay, Mr. X. O’JEANSON de DAMOISEAU also gave the University of MIANYANG - 10 000 undergraduate students -  a Conference on the Principality of Monaco, the business and financial centre and bank professions – before an auditorium of 500 students, some of whom will be future students of the DEES Banking Masters course.

The next banking techniques teaching trip is scheduled for the end of May 2013, followed by the DEES banking examination in China.
