Compagnie Monégasque de Banque has been awarded “Best Private Bank in Monaco” by the international magazine “World finance” in its 2018 awards.

« World Finance Awards » rewards banking institutions that stand out from the crowd by their excellence, capacity to innovate, good governance, knowhow and the quality of services.

CMB’s “boutique bank” approach and its very good knowledge of the local environment in private banking have been noted by the experts of “World Finance”. The Bank distinguished by its comprehension of the needs of its clientele by offering tailor-made services.  

CMB’s mother-house Mediobanca has also been awarded “Best Investment Bank in Italy” by the magazine “World Finance” in its 2018 awards.

Compagnie Monégasque de Banque has been named for the second consecutive year “Best Customer Service Private Bank” and “Banking Ambassador” in Monaco by the international magazine The European in its 2018 awards.

The European magazine in collaboration with the Thomson Reuters Group hold the annual « European Global Banking & Finance Awards » where they honor different organizations including financial institutions. The European recognizes organizations and individuals that stand out from the crowd and are consequently moving their industries forward. Good governance, capacity to innovate, knowhow and quality of service are all major considerations.

On April 5th, 2018 Patrice Cellario, Government Advisor - Minister of the Interior, Mr Etienne Franzi, Chairman of the CMB, and, for OPMC, Jean-Charles Curau, Director of Cultural Affairs of Monaco signed the renewal of the partnership of CMB with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra for the 6th consecutive year. The contract was signed in the Auditorium Rainier III in presence of both CEOs, Werner Peyer for CMB and Sylvain Charnay for OPMC.

Thursday, February 15, 2018, Albert Croesi, Managing Director of Monaco Inter Expo (MIE) and Etienne Franzi, President of the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque (CMB), signed a partnership, in the presence of Gilles Tonelli, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation and H.E. Mrs Mireille Pettiti, President of MIE.

Convinced by the positive experience of the first partnership signed between MIE and the CMB during the Specialized Exhibition Astana EXPO-2017, the Monegasque bank wished to become more involved with the State Corporation to promote the Principality locally as well as beyond its borders.

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has announced the appointment of Thierry Garde as Site Manager of its Monaco branch as of 1 February 2018.

Before joining UBP, Thierry Garde had been CEO of Société Générale Private Banking in Monaco .
Thierry Garde is also Vice-President of the Monaco Association for Financial Activities (AMAF), in charge of the Social Affairs Commission, a role that he will retain alongside his work as Site Manager of UBP Monaco.
