On Thursday 11th April, the MVCA Association - Monaco Private Equity and Venture Capital Association – and The International University of Monaco are jointly organising the one-day Forum The EDGE at the Monaco Oceanographic Museum.

 

The EDGE event intends to encourage responsible entrepreneurship and ‘impact investing’, an emerging kind of asset which associates the notion of investment with dual societal and financial returns, which has enjoyed great development in the last five years.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, an ardent champion of responsible entrepreneurship, will give the opening address of the day before handing over to the following speakers:

  • Nick Hughes (founder of M-PESA, Africa’s largest mobile-banking network)
  • John Wright and Richard Reed (Founders of Innocent Juices)
  • Mikkel Vestergaard Frandsen (CEO of Vestergaard Frandsen, which puts forward preventive solutions to the major diseases of poor countries)
  • Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou (CEO of EasyGroup and founder of EasyJet)
  • Mungo Park (founder and director of Innovateur Capital, an investment fund devoted to ‘Clean Tech’
  • Juan Villalonga (founder of Hermes Growth Partners and former CEO of the Telefonica group
