In October, Fintech KeeSystem organised a conference about the latest developments, exclusive solutions and innovations which have been specially created for Family Offices in Monaco. Attending were Monaco's government advisor and minister of finance and economy, Jean Castellini, Alain Berthou of SIX, Alexandre Bayeux from Aturys and Pierre-Alexandre Rouselot of KeeSystem, who all shed light upon and gave clear information about this subject.

2016 09 cfmThe Chambre Immobilière de Monaco and CFM Indosuez Wealth Management are committing together to provide estate agents with a bank guarantee, which is mandatory when they hold funds, bills or securities for their customers. The guarantee only covers transactions carried out by estate agencies which are members of the Chambre Immobilière de Monaco as part of their work on "transactions on properties and tangible and intangible business assets" or "property management, administration of real property, and co-ownership property representative".

2016 09 colletOn 4 May 2016, the Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to permanently end production of the 500 euro note - the denomination with the highest face value in the Eurozone. Issue of this denomination will be stopped in late 2018.  On that date, the Eurozone central banks will cease putting 500 euro notes into circulation. The other denominations, from 5 euro to 200 euro, will remain.

Michael Bonzon is Swiss. After a career in private banking and fifteen years with Crédit Suisse, twelve years ago he founded Aurelys, a company specialising in structured products. And five years ago, he left Switzerland and moved the Aurelys headquarters to Monaco.

Jacques Dorémieux has been Public Prosecutor of Monaco since October 2015. After working in hospital management for seven years, he chose the judicial authorities once and for all. A sitting judge for ten years, then a Public Prosecutor’s department magistrate for almost twenty years, he has extensive experience of all types of crime connected with financial flows.

2016 06 bachelor programSince 2007, the Monegasque Employment Department and the AMAF (Monegasque Financial Activities Association) have offered young people with a 2-year post-Baccalauréat qualification the possibility of taking a year-long co-operative education program in financial establishments in Monaco. In 2016 this took the form of a Bachelor in Business Administration, with classroom teaching provided by the International University of Monaco (I.U.M.).

2016 06 brexitJean-Pierre Petit, Chairman of the Green Economic & Financial Notebooks, previously held the position of Partner and Head of Economic Research and investment strategy of Exane-BNP Paribas. He has authored several books, including "La Bourse, rupture et renouveau", which won the Turgot Grand Prize in 2004 for the best book on financial economics. A journalist for BFM, LCI and TV5, he shared his views on Brexit last June, at the ACI Monaco's 25th anniversary (The Financial Market Association).

Mr Yannick Chagon, the new Chairman of the French Banking Organisation and Standardisation Committee (CFONB), assumed his duties after a career at Societe Generale, where he was in charge of payment services. He met the Monaco Association for Financial Activities (AMAF) on 10 June 2016.

2016 06 Serge PierryvesSerge Pierryves, a Monegasque citizen born in Monaco in 1963, holds a degree in Marketing and Communications. He started his career in 1983 as a marketing assistant with Christian Lacroix SNC, where he was involved in launching the creator's own fashion house. He returned to Monaco in 1989 and joined the Tourist and Convention Authority, where he rose through the ranks to become the Assistant Director in 2002. In 2006, he transferred to the State Property Authority, once again as Assistant Director, before being appointed Housing Department Director in 2008. Serge Pierryves has been the Director of the Business Development Agency since December 2010. He was made a Knight of the Order of Saint-Charles in 2009.  He told us about the role of the Business Development Agency.

2016 05 Gianni RomanoSon of a banker (his father managed Banque du Gothard in Lugano),  Gianni Romano left Switzerland in the late 90s to open a management company in Monaco: Financial Strategy. He is its Chairman and for 12 years he was an Advisor on the AMAF Board.
