Monaco Telecom is deploying for the first time on an European public network a new evolution of the 4th generation mobile network called 4G ++ (or Category 9 LTE-Advanced).
The operator confirms its commitment to offer the latest developments to its mobile network customers.
Monaco Telecom now dedicates three frequency bands to 4G, for a total of 60MHz spectrum (2x20MHz in 2.6 GHz and 1x20MHz in 800MHz), i.e. twice more than French and European operators.
In a dense urban environment such as Monaco, this spectral width allows everyone a maximum comfort despite the exponential increase in use. Indeed, every year the amount of data exchanged on Monaco Telecom’s network is doubled. Subscribers make 50% of their data use in 4G and use an average of 1.3 Giga of data per month.

It reinforces its representative role by giving it a more modern statutory image in its dealings with international counterparts. The Board comprises members of the CDE’s current Steering Committee representing economic stakeholders across the spectrum in the Principality.
  • Under the aegis of the main entity, the MONACO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and MONACO INVEST have a functional role to play as two wholly separate agencies meeting different requirements that are more clearly defined by their names: the MONACO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE’s mission is to support companies in the Principality, without changing the status or mode of operation. The new name will facilitate its activities abroad where nearly all the organisations it deals with are Chambers of Commerce. The second agency, MONACO INVEST as its name suggests, has a mission to seek and support investors. Foreign business organisations wanting to set up in Monaco with the aim of developing binational investments will come under Monaco Invest.
